Amanda...That is a great idea. I am mad that I didn't think of it. lol. I hope it works out! I can foresee some problems the students may have because of their lack of experience and age.(I am in the same boat!) But overall, GREAT IDEA!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I will let you know how it goes!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a wonderful idea! I was a little worried about having my students work with the computers too because they are 1st graders, but I think that if we guide them through it, they will pick it up in no time. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteAmanda,
ReplyDeleteYour lesson sounds like it will work very well. Im sure they will enjoy being on the computer and getting to choose their own colors. I am sure it will work very well!!
This lesson sounds like a lot of fun and you have selected some really great TEKS! I love that you are willing to expose your kindergartners to technology so early! Technology is the way of the future and the sooner our children are exposed to it the better! Keep setting your technology expectations high and I know they will meet them. I am always amazed at how quickly students pick up on technology...I think they might surprise you!
ReplyDeleteI think the students are really going to take to this lesson. Little ones are usually enticed by technology so I'm sure they are going to jump right in! I noticed that you were able to cover a good amount of teks. Isn't it great how you can knock out quite a few technology teks with one lesson? I'm glad you were able to find some way to integrate technology into one of you lessons. I think we were all a little apprehensive about have the students work with google docs and voicethread, but it all worked out great!!
