Voice Threads
I think that using voice threads is a fun way to get feedback from other students based on a drawling or a story that a student has wrote. I liked the voice thread based on the student who drew a super hero with a power of 90. I liked that the student told what his powers were and the damage and then his peers were able to go back and record their thoughts on his drawing and comments. I could see this being used in peer editing or if a student is shy to present in front of a class they could do a voice thread and provide pictures of their presentation.
Google Docs.
I have never used nor heard of Google Docs before this workshop today. I am still getting used to it but I like the fact that you can access your documents on any computer. Therefore, no more flash drives or hauling around your laptop everywhere. Google Docs is always updating and adding new features on their site constantly. I have learned how to upload a document on Google Docs and view others files that are being shared with me. I will have to continue playing with Google Docs to learn more about its features and everything it has to offer.
Blogs
Blogs are a good way to communicate with others who may need advice on whatever it is you are blogging about. They can be used in classrooms as well as a way for people to vent or keep in contact with family and friends. I like blogs better than journals because I can type faster than I can write and when my brain is going a mile a minute it helps to be able to type really fast.
HOTS intergration
I can envision using HOTS in my kindergarten classroom by possibly posting a blog when we are working on rhyming words. Then my students are to find words that rhyme with the word I posted on my blog and comment back. They would be able to play with the color and font of their text.
If we went on a field trip I could have my students try and blog about their experience and what they learned.
I could use a blog to communicate back and forth with parents (providing they have a computer and internet access) to keep them informed with what is going on in the classroom and it would be a quick way to communicate back and forth to answer any questions the parents or students may have.
The link relates to my grade level.

Kinder Help
Any ideas on how to integrate technology with a kindergarten class? We only have 3 computers and they only use them for a Lexia program for reading. I do not know how well they can use technology so any ideas would be great!
